ABOUT US

Research in this center is focused on improving the quality of education especially in rural areas. This is sought to be done by providing IT based resources to the teacher, which take into account the local idiom and language. Developing such IT-based resources for science education is the thrust of the work in the center currently.


Our current work covers three major areas:

• Multimedia Content Development
• Virtual Lab Development
• Authoring Tool Development.

Multimedia content development in multiple Indian languages is being carried out for distribution as teaching resources. This is done by training and enabling teachers to create content using an open source authoring tool. An interactive virtual lab is also being developed to supplement learning through hands-on experimentation.
