The
M.Tech. program IT in Building
Science provides students with a strong background in the concepts, tools
and techniques for using the information technology in building science.
Aims: It aims to train the students regarding:
- Role of IT in the overall building process
- How present and future IT tools can be used in all phases of the building
- Better IT-tools requirement formulation, participative design support, and
development of IT systems for the building process
- Hands-on experience in use of advanced IT tools and state-of-the-art
applications
Concept: The M.Tech. program is an
interdisciplinary program open to graduates from the fields of architecture and
civil engineering. It focuses on research and development of advanced
information technology tools and their application in building science. The
students take subjects in the core areas of IT along with application areas in
building science.
Objectives:
- To understand the role of IT in the future building process
- To serve as a vehicle for a life-long learning process
- To apply IT tools and knowledge in building process
- To develop IT tools in the building process in timely and global
perspective
- To raise quality of the final results (buildings and their use) as well as
the building process itself
