Earthquake Engineering Research Centre (EERC), initiated by International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad with a motive of helping construction industry to build earthquake resistant structures. Basic objectives of EERC includes:  

1. Study of seismic response of existing structures.  

2. Development of tools for assessment of seismic strength of RC structures.

3. Numerical simulation of non-engineered buildings.

4. Collapse analysis of very important structures and facilities.  

In addition to this, EERC organizes short-term courses for practicing engineers for improving their skills in seismic analysis and design of structures.
