IIIT-H has been ranked Top 5 in India, by Dataquest’s Top Tech Schools Survey 2011. Last year too, IIIT-H was ranked at Top 5 in the country.

While IIIT-H's 2010 passed-out batch's placement was ranked Top 3 in India, the placement for 2011 graduated batch has been ranked Top 1, ahead of the IITs.

Lydia Manikonda, a dual degree student of computer science and engineering, was presented the Google India Women in Engineering Award 2011 by Google India. The award is based on excellence in academics, passion for technology, demonstrated leadership, and originality of thought.

We are pleased to announce that a book on human values, co-authored by Prof. Rajeev Sangal, Director, IIIT-H has been selected for Commendation Award 2010-11 by the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD).

The book, titled “A Foundation Course in Human Values and Professional Ethics”, is based on the proven principles of Jeevan Vidya, and presents a universal approach to value education through self exploration.

SETU Software Systems, IIIT-H’s first incubated company, has appointed Mr. Srini Koppolu, a high profile corporate executive, as its chairman.

Srini, who is the former corporate vice-president and managing director of Microsoft India Development Center (MIDC), left the company last year, following a 21-year-long stint, to pursue his dream of contributing to the startup ecosystem and education in India.
