New Initiatives and future vision, if any:

Future Vision:

To train and educate, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engineers of outstanding ability who can become leaders in their profession.

To carry out advanced research and technology development in information technologies and their societal, scientific, industrial and financial applications.

To work closely with industry leaders and to help then in undertaking programmes needed in their sectors.

New Initiatives:

Setup large research groups by hiring first-rate faculty and involving students in research, even at the undergraduate level.

Enthusing our own B.Tech students for higher studies. Attracting good students from other engineering colleges to come to IIIT for their higher studies, organizing research contests and seminars for students, and many other demos and inspiring events.

Start trans-disciplinary dual degree programs across fields. For example, programs leading to B.Tech (CS) and MS (Humanities), B.Tech (CS) and MS (Computational Natural Sciences) and B.Tech (CS) and MS (Computational Linguistics) where CS stands for Computer Science.
