Eligibility:

B.Tech CSE / IT / ECE end of second year in other colleges will transfer to this program. (Expected : Students in top 10-15% of their class can apply. Students should have strong motivation and capability to pursue research.)

Mode of admission:

The written test will be conducted. Applicants will be shortlisted for written test, and then for interview based on written examination performance for final selection. The institute is not obliged to fill up all the seats if it does not find enough quality students.

Syllabus / Content of Exam:

Exam consists two parts - descriptive and objective, each of 90 minutes duration. Syllabus is given below.

1. Descriptive Exam (90 minutes):
   • Digital Logic; Circuit Theory and Networks; Electronic Devices and Circuits.
2. Objective Exam (90 minutes):
   • General Aptitude
   • Engineering Mathematics
   • ECE Subjects: Above topics for descriptive + General Subject Knowledge.

1. Descriptive Exam (90 minutes):
   • Digital Logic; Computer Organization; Programming; Data Structures.
2. Objective Exam (90 minutes):
   • General Aptitude
   • Discrete Mathematics
   • CS Subjects: Above topics for descriptive + General Subject Knowledge.

 

Curriculum:

Students will take suitably identified courses in their 1st and 2nd semesters. After that they join the regular UG Dual Degree in its 3^rd  year curriculum courses. [ CSE ]  [ ECE ]

On successful completion of their program these students get two degrees – B.Tech in ECE/CS and MS by Research in ECE/CS

Stipulated Number of Seats:

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and MS by Research in CSE : 15 seats

B.Tech in Electronics and Communications and Engineering (ECE) and MS by Research in ECE: 5 seats

Tuition Fees:

For first three years these students will pay regular UG tuition fees. The research group/institute will support the student during their last year for doing thesis.

If you are opting to fill Demand Draft (DD) form, have following information ready ( Demand Draft should be taken in favour of "IIIT, Hyderabad"  Payable at Hyderabad  of Rs 1200 ).
